As the development of the computer science, embedded system is going to become a hotspot of the computer industry. Embedded system has the characters of low-power, low-volume and it is designed for the special industry. Embedded system is widely used in the science, communication, industry design, military technology. Embedded system exist in the normal life of the people from the washer to the auto car.Embedded operation system is a type of operation system in the the embedded system. It doesn't have too much difference compared with the common operation system. It always used in the development of the complex embedded software. It could manage the different resource effective. It could manage the processes, storage, devices, interrupts etc. The embedded operation system is the key factor of the success of the embedded system. It become to be the most important part of the embedded system.Rmos is an embedded operation system which was developed by the Beijing Vanlink Communication & Technology Co. Ltd. It has the characteristics of fast, microkernel and easy to use. But Rmos just support PowePC processor. As the development of the technology, Rmos need to support the different types of processor to meet the demands of the market. The goal of this project if to migrate the Rmos to MIPS 4KEc processor.This article introduce the AC494 hardware platform, migration of the boot loader first, and then introduce the mechanism modules of Rmos operation system. At last introduce the process of the startup and task schedule.
