The Research On Sun Fuyuan' Supplements Editorial Thought

Supplement is a particular form of Chinese newspaper."News attracts readers, supplement keeps readers"has been the common sense of the editors. The importance of supplements is obvious. Sun Fuyuan is one of the people who edited the most kinds of supplements. He hosted the edition of the supplements in some of the most influential modern newspapers, such as Morning Post, Jing post, The Central Daily News, and he also wrote some articles to express his thoughts on supplements editing. Sun Fuyuan and his supplement editorial thoughts is an indispensible part among all the researches on supplements editing. However, people only pay more attention to his relationship with Lu Xun and Jing Post's influence on the new culture than his supplement editorial thoughts, which is unequal to his important position in the history of supplements editing.Based on the supplements hosted by Sun Fuyuan and the articles written by him, this article is trying to analyse Sun Fuyuan's supplements editing thoughts and sum up the necessary qualities an ideal supplements editor is supposed to have, as a reference and inspiration for the supplement editors.The article consists of four parts.Part one: Introduction.Part two: The body part. Including three chapters.Chapter one: Introduce Sun Fuyuan and the supplements he hosted, such as the ones in Morning Post, Jing Post, Central Supplement in Han Kou, Central Supplement in Chong Qing, and especially stressing on the differences among them.Chapter two: Analyze Sun Fuyuan's supplements editorial thoughts. Based on collecting and reading widely the articles written by him about supplements, the systemic analysis on his supplements editorial, this article shows the characteristics, missions, ideal contents of supplements. Chapter three: Discuss the significance of Sun Fuyuan's supplement editorial thoughts, and affirm his status, contributions and influences on the supplement history.Part three: Concluding remarks. Sun Fuyuan and his supplement editorial thoughts is worth of more concerns, it needs more attention.Part four: Appendixes. The articles about supplements written by Sun Fuyuan are collected and added after the main body, on one hand, to make the article compact (because the quotations appearing in the article is brief). On the other, the articles written by Sun Fuyuan are hard to collect because they were on different newspapers which were published many years ago. So it'll be convenient for the researchers and readers.
