Commentary On The Annotations Of Lvshichunqiu

Lv bu-wei,the prime minister of Qinshihuang(First Emperor of the Qin Dynasty),gathered his dependents to write Twelve Notes Eight Records and Six Analysis,which titled Lvshichunqiu,there are twenty-six volumes in all.Gao you,who lived in Eastern Han Dynasty,was the first scholar to expain this book.Nowdays the most popular editions of this book are The new Collation and Annotation of Lvshichunqiu,which was written by Chen qi-you,the other one is The Annotated Lvshichunqiu,which was written by Wang li-qi,both of them followed the basic edition of Ruan yuan,who was a famous collator in Qing Dynasty.Wang li-qi and Chen qi-you collected the previous detailed researches,interpreting their own opinions when they don't argee with,so they drew many reasonable conclusions,but there still be some errors.Depending on the old explainations and the previous achievement,I refer my own views,giving some commentary on the annotation of Lvshichunqiu:stating the better annotation of Gao you which many scholars neglected,explaining some incomplete commentary,identifying the words which are omissive or redundancy,indicating the characters of collateral annotations which entered into the text because they were similar on fonts or pronounciations,and correcting the wrong punctuation,doing away with the old ideas,gathered forty-four reading notes.In order to be consistent with the previous iedas of scolars,I express my opinions in classical chinese.
