Today, research with the development of e-Learning education standards to meet the needs of development of the education information, sharing resources, collaboration of systems, and consistent structure and interface specification for developing resources and creating systems are becoming a hotspot.Many communities and organizations have concerned with Learning Design (LD), and much software related with the LD has been developed. However, the supporting levels of the software are different, besides, because of different understanding of the specification, the results of the realization are different, and sometimes the results are false. It may lead to the result that different produces of the LD can not collaborate. The conformance test is an important way to ensure the implementation of standards accurately and effectively. So researching on conformance test of LD is an important way to ensure the accurate implementation of LD.This paper introduces the Learning Design specification, the other related specifications, and the model of conformance of LD firstly. Then it studies the model of conformance test and realizes the conformance test. The major content of the paper is following:(1) Research on LD and some related e-learning specifications such as Content Package (CP), Learning Object Metadata (LOM), Educational Modeling Language and XML Specification. The common character of CP and LOM is that they are the standards about how to represent and pack learning contents, this method of constructing resources which is focusing on learning content is disadvantageous to share and reuse resources. So I make a summary of that separating learning behavior from learning content is advantageous to reuse and share learning design.(2) Research on information model of LD, there are level A, level B and level C three levers of the information model of LD, the three levels are increasing by degrees. Represent the learning design as modeling Unit of Learning; introduce the process of creating a Unit of Learning and design an instance a Unit of Learning; analyze the relationship between LD and related specifications, describe the information of LD.(3) Research on model of conformance test. From the importance, principle and requirements to research the theoretical basis and method of conformance test. Research on some existent conformance tests such as the conformance test of LOM and the conformance test of CELTS; analyze the process and method of conformance test of LD.(4) Design and develop the Learning Design conformance test tool. Based on the research and analysis on conformance test, analyze the requirement of developing a tool, introduce related technologies, and then developed the test tool. According to some test samples, the tool can verify the representation of information of LD accurate or not effectively.
