Vision-based intelligent vehicle gradually is an indispensable part of IVS (Intelligent Vehicle System). Road vehicles detection is the key of visual navigation technology. It's affected by the quality of noise and image. With appropriate pretreatment of the road image, the recognition rate of road testing, the reliability and stability visual navigation can be increased.In this paper, the overall design of algorithm is to gray the road image, analysis the type of noise, put forward the right denoise method for different types of noise, and them modify the image quality by a series of conducted like edge detection, threshold segmentation and so on. And considered the shape of the road in this paper, the Hough transform detection method bring out. The method is verified by simulation experiments to be proposed at last. Specific research works are as follows:The paper discussed several kind of commonly image enhancement algorithm with small complex and small numeration to the path picture processing effect. Through the experimental result comparison, discovered gathers the picture from the path recognition system, uses the improved histogram balanced transformation the way processing picture effect to be better, for the certain degree influence regarding the path recognition under the sleet condition sleet pellet to use the spiced salt noise to carryon the simulation to it, The discovery uses center values filters the effect to be better. In image edge, by simulate experiments, the paper uses canny edge detector. It is simple. Its operation speed is quick and processes lubricity and series. the texture of road edge is protected. For the real time and robustness of system, the road pictures must be binary. By the maximum between-cluster variance threshold segment, it is used for the advancement of resist noise.. For the distilling road line better, Mathematical Morphology based on assemble is used for the sealing and filtering of road. About the line images as the restriction condition of the line and so on, Hough transform is used of distilling the line. The real time arid robustness of Hough transform is very good. And it links the short line of one lane.Add spiced salt noise, white Gaussian noise and fuzzy treatment methods in the real-time simulation of the road likely to be encountered in the quality of the image, then after pretreatment for road detection, detection can be good effect, Extracting accurate useful line information.
