With the nuclear technology development of the Physics Department of Northeast Normal Nniversity, we design this new type of detection system which is used in nuclear radiation monitoring in neutron room. The hardware of this system mainly consists of the modules of video capturing, the parameter of temperature and humidity condition obtaining, neutron pulse counting and network communication, which is based on S3C2410 processor. The software of this system mainly consists of the operation system named Linux. The program development of PC Client is also introduced.The monitor system has many functions, concrete functions as follows:(1) Reflecting the radiation intensity, providing parameter to worker.(2) Monitoring temperature ranging from -50℃to 150℃. precision is±0.3℃(3) Monitoring humidity ranging from 5% to 99%.precision is 3%.(4) Realize the video monitor.(5) Access to the internet based on IP address.The worker can monitor the neutrol room environment and instruments through internet anywhere, then send message to the worker on the spot to take measure.This dissertation mainly designs the hardware circuit and develops the application programDesign the storage circuit, power and reset circuit, audio card circuit, network card circuit, UART circuit, JTAG circuit, host and device USB circuit etc.Design six-story high speed PCB board, made a sample machine which has been tested successfully and lays foundation of hardware for software of monitoring system. Build the embedded Linux system, research the Linux device drivers, transplanting, develop the application program of the server and client.The problems to be solved:(1) Realize all functions of monitoring system under Windows CE. Net.(2) Optimize the application program of the monitoring system(3) Realize the wireless communications between server and client.(4) Design the high efficiency power module.
