Development And Evaluation Of Electronic Learning Material On C Language Program Designing

At present, there are still some problems in the electronic learning material applying in the programming teaching, such as limited graphic and poor correspondence between the writing illustration and procedure. The article has proposed that develop electronic material for learning computer programming and to seek students' opinions about this new kind of material design .Our design took advantage of the dynamic nature of electronic media by highlighting the relation between textual description and the target it describes, resulting in better congruence of text, graphical illustrations and program code in learning material.The author took"the array and the indicator"in "C Language Programming" (Chief Editor Tan Haoqiang second edition of Tsinghua University publishing house) as one unit to manufacture the electronic learning material. A qualitative research was conducted to evaluate its usability. Results of this study showed that the participants found the reading-aid features helpful in enhancing their understanding of the material, which, in turn, enabled faster reading speed and impressed the contents on their minds more deeply.In this paper, the first chapter is the outline; The second chapter explains the steps of manufacturing the electronic learning material and principle of design; The third chapter explains the reading auxiliary function of the electronic learning material; The fourth rules show how to carry on the electronic teaching material's usability test as well as the test result and the analysis by the qualitative research technique; Finally for this article conclusion and forecast.
