Study And Practice Of The OpenEHR Methodology

The healthcare service and management can be improved effectively by hospitalinformation, and the core lies on the construction of Electronic Health Record(EHR) . Recently, many countries are taking up with researching and developing ofthe EHR system. However, most of them are confused with the ever changing domainknowledge.Standardization is the way of EHR system. Now there have been some international EHR standards, but most of the EHR systems still can not adapt to the ever changing medical domain knowledge well enough. The openEHR specification is an open architecture for EHR system. It separates domain knowledge from the concrete clinical data. Thus dependency of system on domain knowledge can be reduced effectively. This thesis chooses the openEHR and practice the openEHR-based Electronic Health Record system.The contents are listed below:Analyze and compare several EHR standards, thus to interpret the reasons of choosing openEHR as the basis for this thesis;Analyze the openEHR methodology, including two level modeling, information model and archetype;Research the openEHR-based system development methods;Take the key functions of outpatient system as an example, implement the openEHR.The result shows that the openEHR-based system can adapt to the changes of domain knowledge much better.
