Design And Implementation Of An Analysis System For Network Reliability Based On Parameter Survey

As the development of network technology and the increasingly complication of network structure, the reliability of computer network becomes an important factor that must to be considered in the design and analysis of network. In this paper, by analyzing the actuality of the reliability of network, we designed and implemented a system by means of network topology exploration and performance analysis, and in the mode of active and passive measurement. The system can do topology exploration and reliability analysis to an unknown network. So the main achievements of this paper are as follows:First, we realized network topology discovery which make the real-time query to connection relations and active mainframes in network come true. We firstly set forth the relative technologies of network topology discovery, then extracted relative information of the MIB base by SNMP protocol, and classified the subnet and network devices according to the router information table in MIB base. Finally, we used the method that ICMP asynchronously explored the active mainframes.to realize the measurement of network topology.Second, we realized the reliability analysis and network performance parameter measurment. By analyzing the basic method and concept of network performance parameter measurement, and using the variable-length data packege, we measured five network performance guidelines which include connectivity, using probability of bandwidth, loss probability of data package, lapsed time and network throughput, and analyzed the variety instances of the numerous performance parameters. After getting the measurement results, we statistically computed the reliability of network by means of sampling and symbolic statistic, and did reliability analysis.Third, we realized the statistic of the relative information about network runoff. When network reliability exceeds the valve-value that have initialized, we can inspected the network runoffs by statistics about network runoff information. Also we can get the analyzing results about network reliability.Finally, through actual network measurement experiment, the system designed in this paper can exactly reflect the variability of network topology structure and reliability, and can preferably realize the reliability analysis.
