With the country's social transformation and the development of the globalized world, sudden crisis become norm. The press release of sudden crises is an important tool to resolve sudden crisis, but at present there are many inadequate in the press release of sudden crisis. There are a lot of things should be improved in the press release of sudden crisis such as China's 2003 SARS crisis, the Songhua River water pollution in 2005, the South snowstorm in spring and the violent on March 14, 2008 in Lhasa.Based on journalism and communication and integrated use of the political science,law,management and other related theories, this paper has summed up the success and failures in sudden crises press release between China and the United States. The article maintains that there are big difference in sudden crises press release between China and the United States in that the competitiveness in the news release between government and the media of the United States has far-reaching impact on its sudden crises press release, and the leading of media by government in China also has relative impact on the press releases in sudden crises. Many different points in sudden crises press release between China and the United States due to the history of their social environment decisions, and each has advantages and shortcomings. In the sudden crisis press release, China should give full play to its advantages, and to learn many advantages from the Unites States with a dialectical perspective, and then promote the development of press releases in sudden crises press release.
