At present, with computer hardware and the development of multimedia technology, image and video processing in people's daily life has a tremendous role. In this respect, on image and video processing algorithms in the color vision of the people have the most direct impact. In recent years the area of the color image processing with a special algorithm - the color transfer algorithm. The input of algorithms is a reference images and a target image, the output target for an image to maintain the shape characteristics of the reference images with color characteristics of the image. In this paper, the focus of the study is the sequence of images and video color transfer, the existing method of analysis and concluded on the basis of the color image migration algorithm applied to video processing.The main work reflected in the following areas:1. We sum up some of the color transfer algorithm. The color transfer algorithm can be divided into color image transfer algorithm and grayscale image transfer algorithm. Many scholars researched some better algorithm than Welsh or Reinhard.2. We compare color transfer and other coloring method application in video process. The efficiency of color transfer in video process is much better than other coloring method. Color transfer can develop better than other coloring method in the future. Because the process course of color transfer is auto.2. Because problems of Welsh algorithm, we design a new grayscale images color transfer algorithm. Welsh algorithm use the sum of luminance and luminance variance as the pixels matching characteristics, it will cause the loss of some information. In this paper, we through the Fourier transform, in the frequency domain on the calculation of the weight-related. The new algorithm is better than Welsh algorithm in the effectiveness and efficiency.4. Based on the right to put a quantitative value of the rapid relocation of color gray image algorithm, in effect guarantee algorithm on the basis of making deal with the efficiency has been enhanced.
