Survivability Evaluation Analysis And Model Design For Network Systems Based On Survivable Dataflow

Network survivability is a breakthrough and innovation about the traditional concept of network security. At present, there is no a unified definition of network survivability, and the definition given by the CMU / SEI study group has the greatest impact. The methods of studying on network survivability are different from the ones of the traditional information security. Actually, network survivability means the ability of that the system can provide critical services. Strictly speaking, it means the ability of that the system can provide critical services timely, even in the attacks, failures or accidents. Network survivability and its related fields have become a new research direction of network information security; at the same time, it is also a research hot spot now.A comprehensive study related to network survivability and its related fields is given firstly in this thesis, including the definitions and the backgrounds of network survivability, the differences of the concepts between network survivability and the traditional network security, the testing methods, the assessment standards, the application areas, and the consensus and trends of the development. Also, a relatively complete systematic theoretical framework about network survivability is formed.Secondly, with the guide of research production about network survivability, the quantitative analysis of the network survivability is carried out deeply, and the network modeling and quantitative calculation of the survivability is focused on, and the relatively algorithms are proposed. Through the quantitative analysis of network survivability, the established network can be assessed and analyzed, and the corresponding network structure can be adjusted, and the corresponding protection strategy is added, therefore, it can be applied on the specific network. Finally, considering the theory of network survivability, founding on the two existing design schemes of survivability system, a network survivability design model based on proxy module is established, and the relevant analysis and research of the various modules is given.
