Research Of The Design And Realization Of EPC Information Service Based On The Interface Of EPC Network

Nowadays to meet the urgent needy of lowering the cost of logistics for business enterprise in supply chain, we need a new kind of technique identifying and tracing products. Generally speaking, the business enterprises ask for keeping abreast of each product, which means, we need a new kind of technique to mark each product in the supply chain, can quickly collect the new information of each product, and also need a system to manage the delivery and sharing for business information either in an enterprise or between cooperation enterprises.Bar code is the most widely used product identification technique at present logistics field, but it contains a lot of drawbacks, such as bar code can mark one type of product but can't mark single piece product, can read just a product at each time, can't read batch of products. So the concept of the EPC(Electronic Product Code) is put forward by Auto—ID study center found by American M.I.T in 1999. Since being established, EPC is widely researched all over the world, and with making use of a network technique, it becomes an EPC network. The EPC network is based on the Internet, making use of RFID, RFDC and other communication techniques. The aim of the network is to raise the management level and decline the cost of modern logistics and supply chain. Its core is the electronics product code and electronics label based on radio frequency. For lowering the cost of electronics label, the most profitable way is to reduce the memory capacity of the electronics label. EPC information service (EPCIS) provides us a valid solution: Saving EPC in the electronics labels only, the related information of data and business activities are stored in the EPCIS.The research work and application at EPC coding and collection of RFID Raw data are almost mature in EPC network, but the related work on how to extract data with business meanings for enterprise application, and let end-users can exchange and share these data between them is still not mature and find a convenient and low-cost solution. The study work in this paper put forward an solution way by using EPCIS as the medium of exchange business information, it implements the sharing of information for cooperation enterprises in supply chain.This paper studied the 3 important interface in EPC network: to implement ALE interface, putting forward a model of Complex event processing module, So the enterprise can get the EPCIS event with business meanings from the RFID raw event flows; To implement EPCIS event capture interface and EPCIS query interface, designand develop an proto-system of EPCIS, and execute an experiment to verify thefunction of the proto-system in scenario of conveying goods between shipper andreceiver in supply chain.
