The information is the abstract model of real information of world, there are two kinds of divided information according to structure character: Structured Information and Unstructured Information.The Xinhua News Agency video and audio system provide a safe ,reliable and uniform technology platform to share, produce and broadcast the material of news. In the system, the data object is mostly medium. Medium is typical Unstructured Information. So it is the primary issue in system design that Unstructured Information is managed resultfully.In the thesis, the advantages and disadvantages of various technologies of Unstructured Information Management have been analyzed, and then an Unstructured Information model has been constructed on demand. In the process of designing the basic architecture of Unstructured Information Management, the problem of how to increase the efficiency of processing the Unstructured Information has been researched, and the catalogue standard of Xinhua News Agency has been provided based on the Dublin core and Broadcast & TV standard.Combining performance requirement, the architecture of Unstructured Information migration model of video and audio system has been designed and implemented by analyzing and comparing with analogous projects and technologies. This model implements information migration of LAN-Free by utilizing FC-SAN network, and provided ideal function of storage management. Task assignment arithmetic and cache strategy are optimized in information migration model .System response speed is enhanced greatly, satisfy with the performance requirement of video and audio system.This model has already been running stably for 12 months as the core of Xinhua News Agency video and audio system information migration center, then the goal of design has been reached.
