Shipbuilding industry is one of the oldest industries of human, has powerful industrylinkage impact, makes great contributions to national economic development, and representsstrength of a country at a certain extent. Since the21st century, China shipbuilding industrypresents great-leap-forward development, and the international status of which has improvedrapidly. But development of China’s ship supporting industry lags behind. Technologicallevel and organizational management get behind, industry structure is irrational, ability ofindependent innovation is weak, and productivity is low. China’s shipbuilding industry hasbeen included in the”Twelfth Five-Year” development planning framework. But thesequestions above seriously restrict development of China’s shipbuilding industry. And in orderto achieve this goal which settles these questions, it’s an inevitable choice to forward the roadof ship manufacturing informationization. This article mainly aims at the key issues duringthe process of Ship manufacturing informationization, which is the research of unstructuredinformation processing problem, in order to put forward an effective solution.In this paper, shipbuilding industry unstructured information extraction technologystatus as well as the development of which were studied deeply, the precondition of whichwas the need of the development of the shipbuilding industry informationation. First, thepaper studies several existing unstructured information extraction method, summarying andanalysising of the advantages and disadvantages of the information extraction methods. After,for the ship manufacturing process materials, components, welding, assembly and otheraspects of information, researchs and accesses to each kind of information itself and theenvironment where the context features. Based on characteristics of the analysis, theidentification methods which was suitable for shipbuilding information is proposed. Then,using the Windows as the development platform, the extraction algorithm of identifiedinformation is studied by using the tools of java source code-JTIDY and in the environmentof Microsoft Visual C++6.0and JAVA integrated development. In order to achieveoperational purpose, relational database structure is studied and designed, the extractedinformation is stored in the database table, the storage task of the unstructured information iscompleted, and the basis for application of unstructured information is established. Finally,ship welding process, for example, verified the feasibility of unstructured informationextraction by identifing the entity.In this paper, a workable solution will be provided for the unstructured informationprocessing of ship building industry, through the whole process of research which was from identifing the information to extracting and then to storing. The testing results show that theunstructured information extraction system which is proposed has good performance.
