The Research Of Directions Of Arrival Estimation Algorithm In Smart Antenna

The resources of radio frequency are becoming more in short, using the frequency resources available reasonably is the main problem to the development of mobile communications. The smart antenna technology take the Space division multiple access(SDMA) as the core, it has been identified as one of the core technologies of TD-SCDMA.This paper simply introduces the development status, basic working theory ,characteristics and the merits of smart antenna. We summed up the advantages and disadvantages of these algorithms by analysis the ideas of four directional of arrival estimation algorithms and several classical algorithms.This paper analysis a unitary ESPRIT algorithm that can substitute the real calculations for the complex ones to enhance the effectiveness of the algorithm. In this paper, virtual DOA matrix method is presented and it can cut down the calculation consumption of the algorithm,low requirement for sub-arrays and good estimation effect under the low SNR conditions. In addition, make full use of arrays methods is adopted to improve on virtual DOA matrix method. The simulation results show the effectiveness of the method.
