With the development of communication, communication signal processing plays a more important role in communication technology and develops sharply under the base of great commercial benefit. Smart antenna technology is an outcome of this development. The Smart Antennas System (SAS) has become one of the key techniques of the Third Generation Mobile Communication Systems (3G) for its advantages on MAI interference suppression by using spatial information. It can remarkably improve the performance and the capacity of communication systems (TDMA, FDMA and CDMA). Many theoretic researches and great achievements have been gained in base station and mobile terminal. But, research on test-bed is comparatively urgent.Obviously, it is important to implement a test-bed of smart antenna. Using test-bed system, we can validate all methods in this field and evaluate algorithms. In this paper, the implement of the Smart antenna test-bed is detailedly discussed. Based on this test-bed, the new algorithms of DOA estimation and space-time processing are presented and tested effectively using the actual data.
