Research On Secure Routing For Mobile Ad Hoc Networks

A mobile Ad hoc network (MANET) is a kind of wireless network that consists of a collection of mobile nodes, and posses the character of infrastructureless and acentric. Ad hoc network has a well applying foreground in situations where communication infrastructures could not cover with or being destructed, such as military, disaster rescue and exploration. And also could provide robust communication services without infrastructures in commerce activities, including remote conference, aptitude equipment network, or transducer networks.In the thesis, routing protocols for Ad hoc network and secure routing protocols being used are traversed, the characteristics, strongpoints and shortcomings of the routing protocols are analyzed, the research point focus on the lack of security in these protocols.The research of this thesis focus on the basis of existing secure routing protocol, ARAN protocol, especially the aspect of security, confronting the familiar attack manner, and the efficiency of routing constitute, points out that the protocol has the security to avoid every attacks aim at the Ad hoc network routing protocol. But the operation that every nodes have to validate the signature of the forward jump node as well as add the signature of himself to the routing request and return packages during the process of routing establishment, and in order to not expose the network topologic, the protocol does not register the idiographic routing path in the whole routing establishment process, which lead to every nodes only have the routing register of end-to-end. Contrapose to the above disadvantages of the ARAN, we provide a kind of improved secure routing scheme, EARAN protocol, analyses the security and the efficiency of the protocol, give the answer that EARAN protocol is not only could ensure the same security as ARAN protocol, but also improves the efficiency in a determinate degree.
