As the core of Digital Campus, Teaching Management Information System (TMIS) is pursuing the perfect functions. The informationization of Teaching Management with TMIS as platform, to some extent, is realized in each higher education institution. Tasks of Teaching Management, such as student data management, course arrangement, course-selection management, grading management and examination management, are Web-based for processing information. However, information security technology in the system is not fully developed or applied and needs further study. Actually, there are some pending problems in TMIS, namely, how to approve of and verify documents of Teaching Management on line, how to guarantee the validity of grading on line, and so on. In present practice, Teaching Management in these aspects is still relying on traditional signature or seals. How to solve these pending problems with informationization procession is worth further study, which undoubtedly affects the applicable scope of TMIS and informationization degree of Teaching Management.XML with the characteristics of its structured property, interoperability, exchangeability and expandability is widely applied and comes to become the first priority of data exchange technology. As a norm of the structured data description, XML offers various solutions and functions for information system application. Meanwhile security technology based on XML is developed and applied to a mature degree. Such XML security technology norms as XML documents norms, XML Signature syntax norms, XML Encryption standard grammar, XML Key Management Specifications are able to guarantee the completeness, authenticity and undisaffirmance of transmission, which overcomes the shortcomings of traditional security technology and effectively promotes the security of Web application. With XML applied widely, security technology norms of XML are becoming one of focuses of application and research.The thesis gives a survey of relevant research outcomes of security technology and then explores the XML technology and its security technology norms (including XML Encryption and Decryption, XML Signature verification, XML Key Management, etc.). To meet the security demand of TMIS, the applied module of XML security technology is put forward. Finally the thesis develops an digital signature system sub-module based on XML in TMIS of Chongqing University (CQU) ---- CQU Teaching System. With the need of system security demand, the thesis aims at the management flow of grade-rechecking and develops a"Grade-Rechecking Application"module based on XML in CQU Teaching System. On the platform of DotNET, the module can perform the functions of XML Encryption and Decryption, XML Signature and its verification. It also gives a detailed design of XML document planning, the interaction between XML and database, XML Digital Signature and its verification, and Key Management System.Aiming at meeting the demand of Teaching Management informationizaion, the thesis has established a applied module of data security of TMIS, designed and implemented a signature verification module based on XML security technology, which promotes the transferring of TMIS from function-oriented to efficiency and security-oriented, and offers a reference for Teaching Management informationizaion and applied study of security technology in Digital Campus.
