Dallas Semiconductor's 1-Wire(?) devices each have a 64-bit unique registration number in read-only- memory(ROM) that is used to address them individually by a 1-Wire master in a 1-Wire network. If the ROM numbers of the slave devices and total amount of devices on the 1-Wire network are not known, then they can be discovered by using a search algorithm.In digital communication system, in order to ensure the data be transferred correctly, the error Control mechanism is adopted. It also needs it the error control mechanism in the process of digital communication while searching the ROM from the network. .As the coding is simple and rate of error identify is low, the Cyclic Redundancy Check is used broadly. To reduce the cost of hardware, and lower the complexity of hardware designee, sometimes the computation of Cyclic Redundancy Check is done by software. It requests that the mathematics of the computation is optimized and fast.This paper will introduce the design of the ROM search algorithm and the 1-wire Technology .the operation principle of the single bus and the theoretical foundation of search algorithm . The essay introduces the design and operation of ROM search algorithm. It key research studying the one-wire Bus technology, as well as its principal and the theoretical basics of ROM search algorithm. The provided process of operating the search algorithm is detailed and easy to understand. This essay also provides some practical example to show the searching process. C Language Imitation Process makes the fast search from any from station equipment and any ROM number come true, which do helps the deep study of the ROM search algorithm based on one-wire Bus revolving micro-website. This algorithm has easy to expand and safeguard. so this ROM search algorithm realization has very important reference value to various one-chip computer system that employ single bus the devices , Finally, it introduces the characteristics of CRC testing ,the process of code solving and how to realize the programs as well.
