With the rapid development of the sensors and wireless network, the wireless sensor network (WSN) has gradually become one of the most popular research areas in networks. In March 1998 the IEEE 802.15 working group established, which completed the standardization work of PHY and MAC layers in WPAN, to provide a protocol standards for the mutual communication equipment in the personal operating space (POS). The Task Force 4 formulated the IEEE 802.15.4 standard; in view of low-speed, low-power, low-cost low-speed interconnect equipment within the scope of individuals or families.The main work of this thesis is in-depth study IEEE802.15.4 standard documentation, development platforms of MC9S08GT60, MC13192 chip documents, and then implement the 802.15.4 protocol stack based on the HCS08 CPU achieve and MC13192 RF chip.The thesis first introduced the system structure and working principle of 802.15.4 protocol stack, and also the basic framework of development platform.Followed by detailed describetion of protocol stack, which includes three modules: hardware service platform, physical layer and MAC layer. Hardware serivce module provided platform-independent services and basic system services for the upper protocol stack, which construct a good foundation for the uplayer work. Physical layer achieve the 802.15.4 physical layer functions based on MC13912 chip. Only physical layer needed to be amend if we use other RF chip. MAC layer realized some functions of 802.15.4 MAC layer. In wireless sensor network, there is harsh requirement on the energy-saving, protocol stacks is the more simple and smaller the better. Therefore, this paper designs a way to reduce the complexity of the stack in accordance with Beacon and NO Beacon manner protocol stack. This paper mainly discusses the achievement of the No Beacon mode protocol stack.Finally in this paper, the implemente of protocol stack has a simple test and analysis. The paper lists the test environment, test programs and test results.
