With the development of wireless and mobile technology, mobile communication networks begin to integrate with internet, and people can get information and communication services anytime and anywhere. MIP (Mobile IP) technology is the key technology to connect heterogeneous access networks and Internet. However, to deploy the MIP services, we need the authentication mechanism of mobile node and mobile network, So, in this paper we design and implement a complete access authentication mechanism based on network mobility support protocol (NEMO). This paper introduces the MIP, DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), AAA (Authentication, Authorization, Accounting) and NEMO protocols, and then it analyzes autoconfiguration and security mechanism of MIPv6 and NEMO in detail. Based on these work, we propose a new access authentication mechanism for MIPv6 and NEMO. Finally, we implement it in our test-bed. The main work of this paper is as follows:(1) Increase stateful address autoconfiguration (DHCP) mechanism for MIP. We design and implement the DHCP configuration CoA (Care-of Address) for MN in dual-stack network, and use DHCP server to manage and maintain address of MN effectively. To shorten address configuration delay, we introduce a method which can greatly improve MIP handover performance.(2) Propose a new solution scheme based on DHCP and AAA to realize Identity access authentication, home registration and address autoconfiguration for mobile entity (MN or MR). After detected movement handover, mobile entity triggers DHCP protocol to add user information option in Request message. When DHCP server gets authentication information from mobile entity, it triggers AAA protocol and finishs access authentication. After getting the authentication result, DHCP server returns a legal address (if success) or fail information (if fail) to mobile entity.(3) This mechanism is protable and can be used in different mobile environment. We have used it in Hierarchy MIPv6 and Nested NEMO successfully. Moreover, we completed conformance test and verified the research results of the thesis.The advantage of this mechanism is the integration of access authentication and address configuration, which provide effective protects for mobile entity.
