The PoE technique is put forward officially by IEEE by defining a criterionnamed of 802.3af in June 2003, which allow transmitting direct voltage throughcommunication cables. The issue of PoE criterion helps to realize the method oftransmitting electronic power via communication cables, which will dramaticallysimplify the network facility construction, and expand the scope of networkapplication.Although several kinds of chips based on PoE tech came out recent years, mostof them couldn't balance themselves between intelligent supervisory performance andwide power rangs of the output ports for power-supply.Aimed at the intelligent management of on-line power-supply, the thesis bringsforward a new design for intelligent power supervisor, highlighted in port-powercompatibility, smart power distribution and safeguard. The whole thesis expatiates onthe whole design of the power-distribution manager, which involves its core controlleras AT89C51RD2, sampling module for voltage and current, switch controlling, RS485remote communication and man-machine LCD-interface. The program processes,which specially designed for the PD devices in remote power-supply system, are alsoilluminated very clearly, including the application of fuzzy control technology intopower-distribution management, as well as LCD-interface, signals hierarchical-detection, signals filtering, communication, control strategies and programoptimization. The practical module realized proves the feasibility and practicability ofthis design.
