With the application of tunable TEA CO2 laser more and more, People needsnot only single frequency TEA CO2 laser but also multiple frequency TEA CO2 laser,especially in the research of infrared multiphoton isotope separation, multiplefrequency laser efficiency still high. Wherefore, the research of multi frequency laserpossess prodigious operation significance.We develope a new sort of isospace three-wavelength pulsed tunable TEA CO2laser, which is formed by three plane-grating cavities overl-apped in the space. Wecan earn three different branchs by adjusting the angle of grating, at the same time,we can control the energy of every branch. The three cavities utilize each other andproduce three-wavelength laser pulse. In a laser pulse; the three optical fields overlappartially in the space. By integral equation of grating diffration, we establish amathematical model on intracavity optical field of the new style laser, and analyzeit clearly.Through a lot of experimentats, we get the character of the laser. Theoverlapping of three optical field in space, the engrgy adjusting, the branchtuning,the time characteristic of the laser pulse and the spread characteristic ofoptical field are all studied in experiment, the influence of the working gas pressure,barometric pressure ratio and working voltage to laser output energy are analysedand studied.By result of experiment, it is proved that this new laser scheme has manyadvantages. For instance, wavelengths of the laser can tune easily in large scene, output energy ratio of the three branchs has a favorable tenability also, the overlapingof three optical field in space is favorable, output facula has a desirable effect, outputlaser energy large too. The whole optical path is easy to control, branch transform iseasy. output energy time parameter repeatability is satisfactory. Experiments showthat it is good and can satisfied the test requirements.
