Dispatcher Training Simulator (DTS) is a kind of real-time simulating system that is used for power dispatcher training. DTS simulate the running state of real power system by using computer technology.Real-time Database Subsystem (RTDBS) is the core of DTS. RTDBS processes storage and management of real data and routes data between all other modules of DTS. With the rapid expanse of functions, DTS demands the RTDBS to be more and more efficient and reliable, and the primary factor that influences the performance of RTDBS is real-time transaction processing strategy. After analyzing the characteristics of DTS and researching real-time transaction scheduling strategy and concurrency controlling strategy, a new real-time transaction processing strategy for DTS-RTDBS is proposed in this paper. The transaction scheduling strategy combines the static least slack first priority distribution method (LSF) and timer scheduling strategy. It has an excellent performance both in soft and hard real-time transaction scheduling. As a result, this strategy optimizes the transaction processing sequence.Through combining the snapshot mechanism and static least slack first priority distribution method, the transaction concurrency controlling strategy converts transaction sequence from time order into interacted chain order. This new interaction of transaction can avoid the dead lock. And because of using static LSF, this strategy has the function of risk supervision which can avoid the transaction total rollback. Finally, a summary is given, which points out the innovations and disadvantages in current design, and puts forward some enhanced methods and suggestions for the disadvantages, and then makes a future view of real-time transaction processing technology.
