Design And Development Of Shipping Logistics Enterprise MIS Based On B/S Mode

How to process and utilize such information logistics enterprises faced every day correctly and rapidly is an important issue. In this thesis, at the basis of combining with the principles of modern logistics and use for referring the development method of management information system for shipping logistics companies, a management information systems LMIS based on B/S for a shipping logistics company is developed with the latest informationization technology after analyzing the original workflow of this company. Also, the structure,scale, function configurations are designed.In this thesis, the LMIS development process is described detailedly. Firstly, the basic concepts and trends of logistics, logistics enterprise, LMIS are introduced. The feasibility of this system is analyzed and the function modules are designed after comparing the advantages and disadvantages of B/S mode and C/S mode according to the status of the shipping logistics enterprises. Secondly, the present structure of a multi-tiered system of performance layer which uses JSP, JavaScript and CSS technologies, business logic layer which uses Tomcat and Java technology, and data services layer which uses DB2 database, are analyzed. Thirdly, the key technical issues about using Java technology to develop LMIS including system security strategy, database connections, database connections pool design, and print statements based on the Web are solved.The operation of the system is tested by an example of a shipping logistics enterprise. And the test result indicates that the expectation goal of the system is obtained.
