The lack of the energy sources has already restricted the sustainabledevelopment of domestic economy. As one of the main energy-consumingequipment in metallurgy enterprise, Regenerative heating furnace technologytakes as one of the "the State-encouraged Technology Development forComprehensive Utilization and Conservation of Resource and EnvironmentalProtection", which consists of 260 items. It has the characteristics ofenergy-saving, environmental protection, and making full use of low BTU gas;compared with the traditional process, it can save 30-40ï¼…energy. HTACtechnology can also reduce fuel consumption and noxious gas discharging,protect the environment and meet the necessary requirements of the sustainabledevelopment.Compared with the "direct-fired" heating furnace, the regenerative heatingfurnace control system has very great differences, its automatic control strategyis an important research direction. This article takes the gas regeneration typeheating furnace of Tangshan Fengnan Ruifeng strip Co.Ltd as the researchobject. According to the characteristics of reversing combustion of the regenerative heating furnace every 2-5 minutes, analysised and compareed toeach kind of control mode, union the regenerative heating furnace burningcharacteristic, the pulse burning control strategy is adapted to design,programming and debugging of the control system.Because of the high reliability, low cost and high performance, PLC hasbeen widely used in industrial control. Supervisory control and data acquisition(SCADA) software has important practical value for its features of real-timemulti-task, opening interface, flexible and diverse functions, high reliabilityetc.S7-300 series PLC made by Siemens Ltd. Germany was adopted, based onMPI field-bus network, and STEP7 programming software, STL and LADprogramming languages are also adopted to achieve the control of the process;constituted a distributional control system, thus has realized the automaticcontrol. This system is mainly composed of four parts: Field Instruments, PLC,PC and HMI.The system has been put into operation; according to the situation of thepractical application, it's stable and reliable; and the furnace temperature isstable and uniform, reaches the requirements; moreover, the system can achievehigh-precision control, The operating is simple and it is easy to operate in theindustry field by the technical staff; thus ensures the Smooth production ofregenerative heating furnace, increases productivity and lowers energyconsumption. The research work of the control system for regenerative heatingfurnace in this paper provides important guidance and practical significance for an in-depth study, and it has strong practical value.
