The viability of airplane can be effectively enhanced when airborne laser system is equipped to counterattack IR guided missile. In this paper, this kind of countermeasure of airplane to IR guided missile is studied, with conditions for effective disturbance and some key problems of engineering realization analyzed. The influence of this countermeasure to military operation theory is also discussed. The main work includes:The limitation of traditional measures against IR guided missiles and the advantages of airborne laser disturbing measure are analyzed.Interference effect of laser to CCD detector is studied experimentally, the crosstalk mechanism and stray light effect are analyzed.The effective disturbing condition of airborne laser against IR guided missile is put forward, and some key problems, including laser source selection in engineering realization are discussed.The influence of optical-electric confrontation between airplane and IR guided missile to technical research and military operation theory in PLA is discussed.
