With the rapid development of computer network, some new types of network and new technologies of communication (e.g. optical communication, mobile communication) have been used into the applications of network. More and more people desire to gain more convenience as well as more rich applications and services.First we analyze the shortcoming of traditional Internet, a set of design principles is summarized in this paper. These design principles could be used to construct new generation network architecture which can be meet demands for the Internet development. Then an Oriented Multi-Services Compute Network (OMSCN) is proposed under the direction for these design principles. Furthermore, the design ideas, general characteristics and formal modeling techniques of OMSCN model are described and discussed in details. Maintaining the openness, simplicity and flexibility of the traditional Internet, OMSCN can be deployed in some new services by plug-in easily. Hence, it provides good guidance for the research and development of the next generation network. We define and design a software platform of overlay network based on the OMSCN and then we also define the environment of hardware and software of the node of overlay. Moreover, we present a new algorithm of overlay network (Hop-aware) based on proactive algorithm. Hop-aware adopts the bandwidth of link, Hop-count of overlay network and the latency of network as the inputs, and then computes the inputs as the value of weight which is used as the reference of selecting routing. We implement a simple program to make comparison between proactive algorithm and Hop-aware. The results show that the Hop-aware algorithm is better than the algorithm of proactive in performance and stability.At the end of this paper, we introduce the module of NIA which can support the isolated network access and support the resource using in the services of application in the top level of OMSCN.The main contributions of this paper include the following three parts:First, we propose a solution which can be used to translate traditional network into a platform which is uniform, interoperability and multi-services.Second, we propose the Hop-aware algorithm. The Hop-aware algorithm is better than the proactive algorithm by extensive experiments.Third, we implement a model of network isolated access which can support isolated access of the resource in the OMSCN.
