The Analysis And Design Of Device Management System Based On Flexible Workflow

In modern enterprise's daily business management activities, many staffs cooperate to achieve an overall business goal. Flexible workflow technology has been characterized as most easily-customization procedures and efficiently-automation operation, which has attracted more and more attention. It is the key of information strategy for the enterprise that workflow technology is put forward into enterprise day-to-day business management.Workflow management is the definition,automation,monitoring and innovation of the workflow. Workflow management system is the implementation of workflow management through the computer. Business Process Management, BPM for short, refers to the management for the life cycle of every stage of business process including process exploring,definition,automation,monitoring and optimization.These three concepts including the workflow, workflow management systems and business process management are the premise to each other. Workflow is not related to specific business processes, however, which is the theoretical foundation of the business process management and implemented by workflow management systems. Therefore, it can be described in short: workflow management system is the bridge between the theoretical foundation of the workflow and the specific business processes management.This article's background is just to introduce the workflow technology and management into device management. Using the project of《Device management system based on flexible workflow for Chengdu TV station》, to analyze and design the system based on CMMI after detailing the theoretical foundation of workflows workflow management and device management, which mainly contains the analysis of device management business process for TV station; system modeling based on object-oriented facet; and design of functional architecture,database and workflow engine. Also, from the theoretical foundation of business process management lifecycle model, carrying out business process reengineering based on the assessing of historical system's business process; then using Microsoft's workflow platform Windows Workflow Foundation to design and model the new system's business process; finally running the designed process under the workflow engine automatically and efficiently. At the same time, monitoring and identifying the deviation of the running process; and furthermore optimizing the process. All of these are desired to implement the whole business process management. All of these researches prove that the designed system with workflow technology could really promote the device management level of TV station, from the purchasing to using, and to final maintenance or rejection of the device. At the same time, this article attains some achievement from the below three aspects.(1) Integrated with domestic and overseas actual research, doing some study of workflow technology and management theory, which provide with common theoretical basis and approach for the combining workflow technology with the traditional management information system.(2) From the business process management lifetime circle model, detailing the advantage and potential deserved form workflow management system in some aspects such as business modeling,automation-running,emulational analysis,optimization and innovations.(3) Complying with CMMI reference and using UML modeling tool to analyze and design the system, finally constructing and implementing the real device management system based on flexible workflow. The system gets a nicer applicable effect.
