Extenics was China's professor Cai Wen raised in 1983. The goal of extension theory studies contradictory itself, and solves the contradictory method from determining the nature and rations. This discipline widely applies in many domains and has made certain progress. Extension detecting technology studies by Guangdong University of Technology professor Yu Yongquan proposed. Extension detecting is mainly used in detecting the thing which is unable with the traditional detecting method to detect. Based on the beforehand several scholars study, this article conducts the research find the method which is used to find detectable matter-element and its key characteristic.By way of cognizing impersonality world, acquiring information of ration and determine the nature, detecting is the basic method. Now it becomes composing part which can not want in information science. Research method of this article may use traditional artificial intelligence technique as main tool. Because extension detecting technology and artificial intelligence have many connected things. Indeed widely extension detecting is an embranchment of artificial intelligence. Extension detecting offers a method which uses bran-new angle considering detecting issue. Extension detecting method is now in the elementary research stage, so it will be perfect along with the development of extension theory and detecting technology.This article makes a certain research of extension detecting technology. Theoretically it discusses basic theory of extenics which is used in extension detecting technology. Through studying basic concept of extenics, fuzzy relation, self adapt neural networks, clustering analysis, this article puts forward through detecting detectable matter-element which is connect with undetectable matter-element, extracting key factor of detectable matter-element, then extraction method of undetectable matter-element.This article mainly divides into five parts. The first chapter (Introduction): discoursing upon the elaboration to the extension theory and extension detecting technology's starting as well as the present situation. The second chapter (Elementary theory of extenics and extension detecting) introduces several important concepts of extenics such as matter-element, extension characteristic of matter-element, matter-element transformation as well as extension sets and evaluation method. It describes extension detecting technology, detecting-element as well as classification of detecting-element. The third chapter (Definition and identification method of detectable matter-element key factor) defines detectable matter-element key factor, analyze characteristic of detectable matter-element key factor. And it puts forward the methods which are used to identify detectable matter-element key factor, such as basic transformation method and so on. The fourth chapter (Extraction and evaluation method of detectable matter-element key factor) puts forward detectable matter-element function degree, research extension detecting neural networks method, and analyzes extension detecting evaluation method. The fifth chapter (Example of extraction detectable matter-element key factor) uses extension detecting method in weather forecast to find the detectable matter-element key factor of weather forecast, and validates correctness of the method which is used to find detectable matter-element key factor.
