With the development of science and technology, the detection technology has become a kind of key technology relating to economic development and technological progress. Meanwhile, the rapid development of modern science and technology provides a powerful thrust too, for the innovation of detection technology and detection tools. Especially the progress of computer technology, microelectronics and optical detection technology, making detection technology and its application has an unprecedented development. However, there still exist the information can not be detected and the detection accuracy is not high in many areas at present.Extension detection technology proposed for the resolution of this issue providing a new method, which is based on the conception of Extension and its theory as support. Extension uses new idea of solving contradictions to address the issue of unpredictable problem. The purpose of Extension is to find ways to resolve conflict problems through researching contradictions itself from qualitative and quantitative aspects.Extensive detection uses the conversion of matter-element to achieve the conversion of detection problem, and then find results of the features and values of the unpredictable matter-element by measuring the features and values of the detective matter-element. The main study of Extension detecting technology includes the establishment of matter-element model, extension transformation, focusing and reasoning, focusing processing and so on. Currently, extension detection is still in the preliminary study stage, to be further improved with the development of extension and detection techniques.Based on the basic concepts of matter-element, extension transformation, correlation function and extension set, this paper make the relevant study of the features of undetectable matter-element in extension detection, by using mathematical theory, fuzzy reasoning and neural network models. Firstly, the undetectable matter-element is divided into two categories of absolutely undetectable matter-element and relatively undetectable matter-element base on the analysis of undetectable problem, and then definite this two categories and analysis related factors; Secondly, the paper detailed the general process of analyzing the features of undetectable matter-element:firstly, get the feature of detected object and the number of features; and develop other features of the object; and find out the relationship between the feature and other features, and convert them,in order to resolve the measured matter-element; Then, by identifying the key features of undetectable matter-element, establish the relevant model of the feature value of undetectable matter-element, and this paper describes major steps of establishing relevant mathematical models and fuzzy model of the feature value of undetectable matter-element by mathematical method and fuzzy reasoning. Finally, the paper ending takes the rice value in intelligent cooker as examples to apply the relevant models of the feature value of undetectable matter-element, and discuss the prospect of the next research directions.This paper is supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China (No.60272089) and National Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province (No.980406).
