Eletrochromism refers to a special phenomenon that the color of material change between the low transmission rate state and high transmission rate state by injection or taking charge (or ion) under the positive and negative electric field. In this paper, we mainly used organic polymer PEDOT: PSS as electrochromic materials and fabricated the all-solid-state electrochromic and electroluminescent dual-function devices.Testing optical system was structured. We have done some experimental work about the impact of dual-function devices for the main performance of a number of factors. The main works are as follow:Firstly, the all-solid-state electrochromic and electroluminescent dual-function devices were fabricated based on PEDOT: PSS as electrochromic layer that sandwiched between the ITO and Al electrodes.Usually the PEDOT: PSS film was spin-coated directly, but in the dual-function devices, as a function of the need, the doping of PEDOT: PSS with lithium salt and electrolyte has a certain impact on its film. We improved the production process and fabricated uniform electrochromic layer by optimizing the relevant parameters such as spin-coating speed, spin-coating time, the substrate process and the blending ratio.Secondly, using organic polymer materials MEH-PPV and EO-PPEV as electroluminescenct layer, all-solid-state dual-function devices were fabricated. We found that the different material has different impact on the performance of dual-function devices, and the ratio of lithium salt and electrolyte has a great impact too. The testing system was designed and structured which was used to measure spectral of reflection of dual-function devices. The performance of dual-function devices with different structure was measured. The response time and I-V characteristics were discussed.
