With the development of agriculture informatization in China, the conception of precision agriculture got more and more attention. As a traditional agricultural country, the research of farmland data acquisition and processing in China is at the initial stage. Based on the characteristics of former farmland data acquisition system, this paper proposed an embedded remote data acquisition system based on ARM-Linux, by which user can monitor remote real-time farmland data through Internet.The main contents of this paper are as follows:1. Designed system structureThis system has two main parts, one of them is base station which is an embedded system transplanted Linux and Web server; another is data acquisition system which contains many monitoring node, each node has same hardware and software, uses SCM as the core; the base station and monitoring node use wireless data transceiver module to communicate with each other.2. Designed system hardware structureChose appropriate 32 bit embedded MCU, peripherals for base station; chose AT89C52 as monitoring node MCU, and appropriate sensors to acquire temperature, humidity, illumination etc; chose STR-32 to be wireless data transceiver module to ensure the monitoring scope.3. Set up system software environmentSet up cross compile environment, chose appropriate embedded operation system, embedded Web Server and transplanted them to base station, and configured Web Server to ensure it operate well in system.4. Designed system softwareDeveloped CGI program to implement the interaction between users and data acquisition system, received users' command and transmitted to monitoring node, and received the data returned, then show HTML pages to user; designed frame format sent by base station and monitoring node, made them communicate in master-slave relationship.The innovative aspects of this paper:1. Combined embedded Internet and farmland information acquisition technology, user can monitoring farmland information through explorer, without set up any other software.2. This system used wireless data transceiver module to substitute GSM, used embedded system to substitute PC to be base station, this solution not only cost savings, but also resolved the problems of laying lines in data acquisition system based on the field bus technology and data latency in wireless data acquisition system used GSM.
