At present, the rapid development of wind power industry in China has promoted the step of wind power plant information construction. But in this process, because of the great time-span of wind power plant's devices, the equipment's various types, the differences between information models and communication protocols of wind turbines, it's difficult to establish a uniform information monitoring system for wind power plant using traditional techniques. This paper introduces knowledge-sharing based ontology semantic technology, builds the common ontology model for wind power plant on the basis of the information model built according to IEC 61400-25 series of standards, and uses ontology description language OWL to describe it. It achieves the expression of wind power plant's domain knowledge at the semantic level. Combined with the web service technology, it establishes wind power plant's information services ontology and realizes the automatic discovery and composition of services. Also it achieves the integration of wind power plant's domain ontology and the shield of multiple communication protocols at the semantic level, and eventually establishes a uniform information monitoring and management system for wind power plant.
