When the laser travel in the atmospheric, except the consumption of absorption, the laser will be scattered to anyway by atmosphere. According to the measure and research to the atmospheric backscattering, the related parameters will be calculated, such as backscattering, extinction coefficient and horizontal visibility. These parameters can be used to give the valuable reference data to the atmospheric environment monitoring and military. Therefore, it has significant meaning to the atmospheric environment monitoring and military through researching the atmospheric backscattering.The main contents is mainly to process the collected data according to the Fernald computational method in Mie-scattering, get the Extinction Coefficient and get the value of visibility according to the iterative and extended algorithm. According to the test in HeFei and Beijing, the data analysis and the comparison of the result have been gotten.According to the contrast test and the data analysis above, it can conclude that the backscattering signal of laser is affected by atmospheric aerosol. So the result of the contrast test and the data analysis can provide the reference for the atmospheric environment monitoring and military.
