Integrated Navigation is a new technology which uses two or more navigation systems to get the optimal navigation system by synthesizing and processing the data provided. With the development of aeronautics and astronautics industries, Integrated Navigation will definitely be the trend of the future navigation system. At present the measure to evaluate the performance of the Integrated Navigation is simple, the pertinence is not strong while be lack of ideal lab evaluating environment and standard. Due to these problems, the Navigation and Control institute of Shanghai Jiao Tong University has built a platform which can evaluate the performance of the Integrated Navigation system and is mainly used for GPS/INS Navigation system. The platform used Visual C++ developing environment, and adopted the principle of module programming and the design of distribution structure. Through the process of developing, it realized a series of functions including data simulation, algorithm evaluation and practical system evaluation, etc which provided good condition to test and develop practical navigation system.Based on the existent integrated navigation system test platform, the thesis did some improvements towards the platform. According to the situation that the platform could only simulate circle movement of the carrier, more kinds of movements were added on and the platform can simulate more complicated carrier traces based on the different environment diversity requirements. According to the situation that the platform chose Platform INS to be the model of the INS component, the data model based on the SINS was built so that the platform can simulate navigation data of practical SINS component. According to the situation that existent platform was lack of the function for evaluating the performance of the SINS algorithms, new SINS position updating algorithms and relevant test module were added, the requirement of test different SINS position updating algorithms was met. New integrated navigation data fusion algorithm was added which provided new standard for evaluating the performance of the practical navigation system. At last, the relevant experiments were carried out to verify the validity of the newly improved functions.On the other hand, the thesis researched the possibility to use virtual instruments technology to build up test platform of the integrated navigation system. An evaluation platform of SINS algorithm performance using LabVIEW is initially built up to establish the foundation to construct the more complicated integrated navigation system in the future.
