The DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) system is the third generation sound broadcasting system after the existing analogue amplitude and frenquency modulation system. Main superiority of DAB is: no matter portable or mobile reception, DAB can provide CD-like quality radio programmes, aside from sound, the improving DAB can carry not only audio, but also text, pictures, data and even videos-all on your radio! This is real DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting).The decelopment of DMB has cleared a new path for mobile television business, since DMB is upgraded from DAB system. The main technologies they applied are the same, and however, it employs the newest compressed video technology of H.264 to offer video service to mobile terminal in DMB system, which has opened up a prospective market to DMB.Firstly, a brief introduction about the core technology of DAB/DMB is given, and then, the principle and implementation of T-DMB receiving system is discussed. Dual-RF system problem of mobile TV is solved by chip selection and power system circuit designing under cellphone GSM system principle. Secondly, solutions to difficulties of power management in integration system, audio signal process and LCD controlling are presented. Simulation methods based on Matlab are adopted to improve record quality and solve noise problem in bidirectional recorder, and then verify the result with testing equipments. Finally, this moblile television passes all tests of related organizational units to meet requirements for sale.
