White-light light emitting diodes(LED) possesses such excellent performance as low power consumption, long lifetime, environmental protection and fast response time, and so on. Like inorganic semiconductor transistors, which displaced vacuum tubes for computation, solid-state lighting of LED is a disruptive technology that has the potential to displace vacuum or gas tubes (like those used in traditional incandescent or fluorescent lamps) for lighting. It has been 10 years since the first white LED in the world was made in 1996. More and more attentions are put to this novel region. WLED is believed to be the fourth generation of lamp-house after incandescent lamp, fluorescent lamp and discharge light and it is the future of illumination.Main results of the thesis are as follows:1. The luminescent properties of Li2CaSiO4:Eu2+ were studied. The blue-green emission of Li2CaSiO4:Eu2+ was produced when it was excited by ultraviolet and blue light, the main emission peak was at 480nm. It's Stokes shift was 1 100 cm-1.2. The fluorescent features of Li2SrSiO4:Eu2+ were discussed. The excited spectrum range of Li2SrSiO4:Eu2+ was 200~530nm. It could can generate yellow light emission, which the main peak was at 558nm, and the full width at half maximum(FWHM) was 64nm.3. The fluorescence spectra of Li2BaSiO4:Eu2+ were explored. The excitation spectrum scope of Li2BaSiO4:Eu2+ was 200~420nm. It could produce green emission, which the main peak was 500nm, and the FWHM was 102nm.
