With more and more extensive application and deeper research of embedded systems, their development has already come into a new stage from the third traditional development stage: the stage combined with network (the network here includes the local area net LAN and Internet). How to acquire optimal time series planning of an embedded system, maximize the hardware economization and mission performance fficiency, is obviously advantageous to optimization of development and network management on vending machines. It also can be a reference for time series planning of other embedded systems.Through plenty of research works on development history and development foreground of vending machine as a typical embedded system, this job summarizes up and sorts time series planning of embedded systems, and extends the range of time series planning research, and puts forward some new concepts of event schedule. Through sorting event series, this paper studies general properties of event series, analyzes relationship between event schedule and task schedule, optimal time series planning and maximal hardware economization. On the basis, this work gives the optimal time series planning strategy further.Some results of the research have been applied to vending machine. The application feasibility in the vending machine group has been proved in theory, and puts forward a concrete implementation method.
