The development of the informative network and mobile technology makes Internet become the most important information infrastructure in modern society, and promotes the increasing applications of mobile devices. More and more people desire to connect Internet conveniently even on mobile environment. Thus it is essential for the Internet technology to combine Internet and mobile technology. Meanwhile, IP multicast can enhance the usage of the network and save the resource of the sender, which enable multicast on mobile IP environment to make the best use of its high efficiency. But this combination will also bring challenges to these two technologies, so how to combine them is worth to study further.The main research works and conclusions in this thesis are as follows:1. The difficulties and the related issues of the Mobile IP Mulitcast are analyzed. The research status and the development trend of the Mobile IP Multicast technology is summarized.2. Most of the current Mobile IP Multicast protocols are analyzed in details, and advantages and disadvantages of each protocol are studied deeply.3. The solutions for the address compatibility of IP Multicast on mobile enviroment are summarized; Analyzing the problems of the current Mobile IP Multicast protocols and the features of Internet, the author investigates the Regional Hierarchical Management model, this model uses a regional and hierarchical structure to efficiently enhance the stability of the multicast tree, and has superior handoff performance.4. In the field of the application of Mobile IP Multicast, a framework of the handle mobile TV system toward the new environment is constructed.
