Color Management Of LED Backlight LCD

Color Management technology is one of the most important technologies and necessary parts of Operating System to keep consistency of colors in the process of color transmission and reproduction .Because of it's good accuracy and high compatibility ,the Color Management based on ICC Specification has been widely used.Nowadays, LED is general considered as one of mainstreams of backlight source to improve the performance of LCD. Our work of this paper focuses on the Color Management of a 26inch LED Backlight LCD. However, due to the mismatch of LED's wavelength and standard ones, the image seems to be illusive for human eyes. Therefore, it becomes necessary for us to manage the color of this monitor. Based on ICC Specification, the chroma of abundant color pictures has been tested to establish a Lookup-Table for color transformation , and an ICC Profile by C++ language has also been made. Finally ,I got the chromatic aberration of 1.29ΔE_ab.During this work, I've made more research of color management to get better understanding of ICC Specification .Furthermore, an ICC Profile generator has been built successfully, which helped me make solid foundation for further research.
