In this paper, the principle of photovoltaic array is explained first. This thesis evaluates the current situation and foreground of the development of photovoltaic industry. It summarizes the recent development of photovoltaic array and analysis its advantages and disadvantages. Basing on these, this paper states the significance of the researches of digital photovoltaic array simulator, besides, it specifies the performing characteristics and major technological index of the digital photovoltaic array simulator, which is researched and designed in this paper.This paper analyses two similar models which can be calculated easily, basing on the precise physical model of the photovoltaic array and processes software simulation on them. The paper studies the digitization of the analytical model according to the AD conversing precision of the MCU and the precision the PWM output control. Basing on the equal step searching method and the interzone dichotomy, this paper studies the fixing of the load point and gives specific operating process to it. This paper researches the application of digital PID control in digital photovoltaic array and use Matlab software to emulate the whole simulator, validating the correctness of the fixing load point arithmetic and digital PID control.In this design, the power circuit of the simulator uses the phase-shifted full-bridge converter. This paper analyses the operating principle and main characteristics of the phase-shifted circuit, particularly analyses the working states of the circuit in a half circle, and discusses the realizing condition of the soft switch. This paper designs all the parts of the power circuit such as the input rectifier, the power transformer, the output rectifier, the isolate driving circuit in order to achieve all the guide line of designing.This paper uses the 16 bit MCU Infineon XC167 as the major controller of the simulator controlling circuit. This paper analyses the performing characteristic and the advantages of that type of XC167, analyzing the hardware design of the single chip to realize the function of detecting and controlling, such as the DA transformation, the wave engender of the phase-shifted PWM. This paper simultaneously introduces the design of the voltage sampling and detection circuit and the current sampling and detection circuit. This paper briefly introduces the developing software of XC167 and its C programming language. Besides, this paper states in detail the realization of the software system, including the programming flow of each block, what is more, this paper analyses the idiographic programming of the digital filter.This paper finally gives the steady output wave of the system when working in the load point under the closed loop. Experiments prove that the digital photovoltaic array simulator could realize the simulation of the output of the true digital photovoltaic array.
