Sanlian Lifeweek Magazine is a kind of news magazine which focus on culture in the magazine market. Compared with other news magazines in China, Sanlian Lifeweek Magazine steeps in dense cultural atmosphere and concerns on humanity. It presents the new way of life and new concept about life in the magazine. The writer tries to analyse the targeting audience, the idea of managing the magazine,the columns,news selection and narration of the magazine. The writer wants to summaries the characteristic of the Sanlian Lifeweek Magazine and its journalistic communication traits, based on the previous analysis and compration with other news magazines.The writer analyses the background and condition of publishing Sanlian Lifeweek Magazine in the view of social and economic enviroment,media ecology enviroment, media brand development and news magazine market. Then the writer reviews the history of the development of Sanlian Lifeweek Magazine and summarizes the 10 years'development as three different periods. The writer then lists the targeting audience and key idea of Sanlian Lifeweek Magazine in the third part of the paper.The next part of the paper is the content analysis of the Sanlian Lifeweek Magazine. The writer compares the different columns of Sanlian Lifeweek Magazine with those of Newsweekly Magazine and China Newsweek Magazine and get the conclusion that Sanlian Lifeweek Magazine focus on culture and new way and idea of life based on news. The writer also analyses the page stories of Sanlian Lifeweek Magazine by comparision with other two magazines. In this paper, the content of the different columns, the page design, the pictures and narration of Sanlian Lifeweek Magazine are also analysed by the writer.In the end, the writer get the conlusion that the characteristic of Sanlian Lifeweek Magazine or its brand is journalistic communication based on culture and concerns on humanity.In the paper, the writer uses the relative theory and method of journalism and communication.The method of content analysis and context analysis and comparision are also used to get the conclusion.
