High-brightness is one of the main developing directions of future CRT display. The paper mainly conducts study on the manufacturing of high-brightness screen from luminescent material phosphor powder and manufacturing process of screen.On the foundation of analysis and study of various phosphor powders luminescent mechanism, through tests of performance comparison, a new type rare earth phosphor powder is chosen as luminescent material to develop high-brightness screen. After analysis and comparison to various screen manufacturing processes, a screen-making process of deposition method is chosen and a new phosphor powder spreading technique-centrifugal deposition method is successfully experimented. Adopting the new technical technique, the performance index and production efficiency of the screen can be obviously raised. Through plenty of engineer testings, via selecting and using optimized phosphor powder granularity and phosphor powder thickness and the quantity of dispersant and jell etc. technical parameters, the high-performance screen with high-brightness and anti-burn is developed.The light spot brightness of the high-bright screen can reach 18000cd/m~2 with resolution of 0.022mm. The anti-burn ability of screen is greatly strengthened, no burning is found. It, together with CRT, passed low temperature, high temperature, humidity, shock, strike and vibration etc tests.
