Research And Application Of USB Interface Technology To Recording Telephone

With the fast development of communication network and the popularity of telephonesand computers, the trend of the networks of telophones and computers to penertrate into eachother is evidently accelerating, which brings the telephone recording system into digital times.Currently the application of telephone recording systems is rather wide, and it is in the agendato design a recording system which is based on usb interface and able to connect computersand telephones in order to satisfy our requirements. In these circumstances, it is desirable toadopt usb as the interface of the recording system. A USB-based telephone recording systemcan resolve the questions mentioned above and have a broad market perspective with theplug&play characters.USB, a brand-new standard interface to connect the computers and the peripheralequipment, has been widely used and is mature in technology. This paper is mainly focusedon the software and hardware development based on the USB 2.0, to meet the requirement ofdata acquisition and transmission. We study the usb protocols and the intrinsic mechanism,store the digital voice data to computers in real time to realize the digital recording function,and the application of usb interface technology to recording telephone is completed.This paper is organized as following: the background and significance; the briefintroduction of usb protocol; the hardware design and implement of the telephone recordingsystem based on USB 2.0; the software design, the firmware program and the user applicationprogram of the upper machine in emphasis.
