USB technique is widely used for its advantage of high speed, simple interface, PnP. The paper mainly introduces the application of USB2.0 bus interface. In the data communication system of present theodolite, it is difficult to verify the data for a long time. Appreciating for the guidance of professor Chen Tao & Wu Zhiyong, I have designed a data communication verification device based on USB2.0 interface for the theodolite's communication system and realized data verification function. And I have expatiated on the whole design process of the data communication verification device with USB2.0 bus interface chip - CY7C68013 of CYPRESS in the paper. The testing result shows that the usage of data communication verification device is benefit for the data communication of theodolite:Implementing the realtime and aftertime verification function, and making the debugging of theodolite much more convenient. Meanwhile the transmission speed can be up to 200Mbps, which is technical reserve of theodolite's high speed transmission.At first, the paper indicates the application feasibility of the USB 2.0 bus interface in the theodolite, and then illustrates the entire design process in detail.
