Traditional transmission system of industrial CT general adopt ISA and PCI bus technique, there are problems of high piece, unexpanded, low transmission rate, installation inconvenience and so on, can not fulfill the higher demands in research and production in some occasion. USB technology can solve the problems above. USB bus has been widely used for the features of:" plug-in and play", easy for extensions (up to 127 external peripheral), occupation less system resources (only one IRP), no bus competition and high transmission rate (480Mbps in the protocol of USB2.0).This thesis research and design a set of industry CT oriented USB2.0 high speed data transmission system. First of all, according to the main idea the paper introduce the USB2.0 protocol and FPGA technologies in detail, and advance the whole hardware design based on the reliability, high speed, and stability of transmission system. Transmission system use EZ-USB FX2 (CY7C68013A) of Cypress Corporation which Configured in Slave FIFO model as the USB interface chip, and complete the circuit and firmware design in Slave FIFO model. The main control module use EP1C6Q240C8N of Altera Corporation' Cyclone series as the control heart of transmission. The FPGA define FIFOs to receive the data from detector, produce a logic control signals and timing signals, send the data from detector to buffer of EZ-USB FX2.At lasted- USB FX2 send the data to PC for waveform display and save the data in TXT file formats.Software development of the entire transmission system includes four parts: driver development, firmware development, FPGA design and PC-application design. Complete data transmission tests and reach about 30 MByte/Sec speed of read and write data, meeting the design requirements. Transmission with USB and FPGA technology raise the performance of the system and reduce the size of the device.
