Modeling And Implementation Of The Workflow System Based On Petri-net

In recent years,along with the development of information technology, electronic document circulation of enterprise has been offered more wide developed space. The problems on organizing processing document information whose major content is characters can be solved by workflow technology. And the hot point in workflow technology is workflow modeling.The workflow modeling method adopted in this paper is based on Petri nets. It integrates some graphic and mathematic models so it is a good formalized modeling tool. For constructing a news gathering and editing system, we took mainly use of the new method proposed in the paper. We made researches and improvement on the control flow, information flow, systematic architecture, transitional firing and the response to external events. And design a news gathering and editing system based on Petri nets.●This paper discussed the architecture of workflow management system and typical model, analyzed various modeling methods of workflow entity.●Based on the workflow net, it discussed the mapping from Petri net to workflow. The arithmetic and transition firing of traditional Petri net is improved. The data flow and the control flow are combined. It can carry out operational control for external events and handle the complex model of nest structure.●According to the application demand and the example of news gathering and editing circulation, set up the model of news gathering and editing by using improving Petri net. Based on the modeling, it presents a specific realization, and expatiates on the adopted key technology.Depending on the Petri net, this paper brings forward a new workflow model—NGESM (News Gathering and Editing System Model). This new model not only commendably settled automatization in news gathering, but also shows its great express ability of operation course description. Workflow is a system project, which is an important part in automatization realization. So it is of both theoretic and practical far reaching signification to make research on Petri net application in workflow system.
