The Design And Development Of Core Bussiness System Of Aninsurance Company

After China joins WTO, Opening and competition have been the mainstream of the development of Chinese economy. With the opening of domestic insurance industry, more and more foreign insurance companies have invested in China, so the competition in the domestic insurance market is getting more and more drastic. Under such circumstances, the insurance company can't keep the competition advantage only through simple and traditional mode, for example lowering the price to win clients, so all the insurance companies realize that they will remain invincible if they could strengthen their core competence. At present information technology has been pervasive into every part of the development of insurance industry. And the level of building information systems can reflect whether the core competence of an insurance company is high or not. Under such market environment, the build of the core business system is getting more and more important for an insurance company.So in order to promote development of the insurance business, the Department of Information Technology has developed the core business system. The system is based on stable system platform and advanced database development technology, and the whole business flow can be done in the system which could meet all the urgent requirements of our company including business control, the design of insurance products, decision support, customer management etc. Through deeply digging and widely making use of information resources, our company could reconstruct the core business, strengthen the operation control, realize the management and application of the information and then improve the efficiency of production, operation, management and decision, so our company is much more competitive than before.The author has participated in the general plan and design of the core system, and has completed the plan, design and implementation of the financial subsystem, the design and implementation of the interface of the financial subsystem and other subsystems, and the function implementation of automatic synchronization mechanism of the financial subsystem and SAP system. This paper describes the work mentioned above in detail, and firstly introduces the background of system development and the system development platform, and then put forward the general design of the system and then describes in detail the implementation process and the key techniques of the system, finally this paper introduces the running status of the system after it is put in use formally.
